George H. Barnes of District 12 was elected to be an Alternate Delegate to the Democratic National Convention Monday August 5 - Thursday August 8, 2008 in Denver, CO.

The District 12 Convention, Feb. 26th at the Senior Citizens Center in Jamestown went very well. We would like to thank everyone who helped and participated to make the convention very successful.
At our convention District 12 nominated our two State Representatives for re-election: Joe Kroeber and Lyle Hanson. We have to get behind them and help with their continued success and provide the support they need to maintain their legislative seats.
The District 12 Democrats nominated long time City Councilman John Grabinger to be our candidate for the North Dakota State Senate to run against incumbent Republican David Nething. We must do everything we can to get behind John to help his campaign so we can capture this seat that has been Republican Nething's since 1967.
So a great deal went on at our convention this year. Our next regular meeting of the District 12 DEM-NPL will be Tuesday evening 6:00 P.M. May 20 at Babb's Coffee Shop in Jamestown.
